15 indigenous people including State Assemblyman for Padungan, Dominque Ng Kim Ho, PKR Sarawak treasurer general Wong Huan Yu were arrested at 2.30 pm today and brought to the Gita police station.
At about noon, the group with the Sarawak Conservation Action Network (SCAN) was holding placards and banners condemning the plan for construction of dams.
Sarawak Head Crime Investigation Department, SAC 11 Huzir bin Mohd confirmed that the group was arrested for illegal gathering at a government department.
